For all versions of the Linksys E2500 N600 router, the default password is admin. As with most passwords, the E2500 router default password is case sensitive.
Although some Linksys routers don't require a default username, the Linksys E2500 router does: It does not use a username. However, the default password is admin. That's right. It username is blank by default.
Like other Linksys routers, 192.168.1.1 is the default IP address used to access the router.
There are three different hardware versions for the Linksys E2500, but they all use the same username, password, and IP address.

The Linksys E2500 default password and username are always the same when the router is first installed, but you can (and should) change both to something unique and considerably more secure. The only downfall to that, of course, is that these new, more complicated, words and numbers are easier to forget than a blank username and admin. If you don't know the username and password you assigned to the router, you have to reset it to its factory settings.
Resetting the E2500 to its factory default settings is the only way to restore the default username and password. Here's how:
Make sure the router is plugged in and powered on.
Physically turn the E2500 over so you have full access to the bottom side.
Using a small, sharp object such as a straightened paperclip, press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds. Continue to press the Reset button until the Ethernet port lights on the back flash at the same time.
Unplug the power cable for 10 to 15 seconds and then plug it back in.
Wait 30 seconds before continuing so that the E2500 has plenty of time to boot back up.
Confirm that the network cable is still attached to the computer and router.
Now that the settings have been restored, you can access the Linksys E2500 at http://192.168.1.1 with the default login information of no username and admin for both the password.
Be sure to change the router's password to something secure, as well as the username if you want a bit of an extra layer of security. It might be a good idea to store the new password in a free password manager so that you don't ever forget it again.
Now, you have to reconfigure your wireless network settings because resetting the E2500 removed all your custom ones. This includes your network name, network password, and any other custom settings you may have configured, like port forwarding rules or custom DNS servers.
When You Can't Access Your E2500 Router
Most routers are accessed as a URL through their IP address, which, in the case of the E2500, is http://192.168.1.1 by default. However, if you've ever changed this address to something else, you need to know what that address is before you can log in.
Finding the Linksys E2500 IP address is easy and doesn't require a process as involved as resetting the whole router. You can find the router's IP address if at least one computer that's connected to the router is working normally. If so, you need to know the default gateway that the computer is using.

If you're looking to update the Linksys router's firmware, be sure to download the firmware that belongs to the hardware version of your router. Each hardware version has its own download link. For the E2500, both version 1.0 and version 2.0 use the same firmware, but there's an entirely different download for version 3.0. You can find the version number on either the side or bottom of the router.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each term and you will be charged through your iTunes Account. You may turn off subscription auto-renewal at any time through your iTunes Account Settings. We cannot offer a refund for unsubscribing early.
After 30 days, iTunes will process auto-renewal payments in the 24 hours before expiration. To avoid auto-renewal, turn it off at least 24 hours before expiration. Manage subscriptions, including auto-renewal, through the iTunes store.
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.

Velop Router
I spent 10 hours trying to set up two different routers from two different companies and had such a difficult time setting them up. After much frustration, I took them both back.
I talked to two representatives at one of the local electronic stores and both had the Linksys Velop systems. They mentioned the ease of set-up and convenience of the Linksys App. I was convinced that if this is the system that they use, then this is the system that I need to try out. I figured if I couldn't get it to setup, I was going to have to have an internet specialist come to my house and install this unit.
WELL, this was the easiest setup and literally took me less than 10 minutes to set up the whole system. The app is clear and extremely understandable and walked me through the whole setup (plug in wall, plug in signal, and it goes through a few setup steps) and WOW- it was online. Then, I set up the extra node with power and it connected right away. EASY, EASY, EASY. If you are looking for a GREAT system with awesome coverage and easy setup then the Velop system is for you. Thanks Linksys for making this system so easy that even a non-technical person like me can set it up in minutes.
Linksys Velop
We have Verizon Fios fiber optic which is suppose to be the fastest. They got changed to Frontier. Started to slow down. Then started to have issue connecting wireless to the the wifi wireless. They changed the modem first. It was ok for a short time. Then started having issue again connecting. Technician came and change the modem again and upgraded my service to a faster internet connection. Again started to have issue a couple days later. Another technician came and added a box in the garage. I told him that we use to have very good connection to the wifi before the company changed to Frontier. He recommended to get a google whole house wifi extender. I bought a Linksys system. It’s a great system. Now we have a very good wifi connection anywhere in the house. Even across the street I can connect to the wifi. Thanks to Linksys Velop. I recommend this system to anyone that has wifi connection issue.
Multiple clients
I had to purchase a new router after I had an alarm system installed in my home.it was a smart alarm system which consisted of a wireless controllable front door, Two wireless indoor cameras, two wireless thermostats, and two overhead smoke/heat detectors.
Without realizing it everything on the smart home system affected my router bogging it down when I went to use the PC..I always used Linksys and at the time I had the best Linksys had to offer in routers which was I can't remember but it was the one previous to the EA 9500 that I'm writing about now. After reading the specs with all the antennas and the new technology I gave this a shot for $400 at the time and when I got back on my computer everything was cleared I was able to fly bonnet especially with gaming and I do play AAA games.
Also in my home I rent out eight rooms and not only does everyone have cell phones but they have laptops as well so that's a very busy system when I checked the app sometimes AC up to 24 items on there at once without even affecting the band with I highly recommend this unit
